In Mexiko gibt es das ProTrad-Programm (Program of Support for Translation of Mexican Works into Foreign Languages) zur Förderung von Übersetzungen. Dieses Programm vergibt jährlich Mittel in Höhe von bis zu 10.000 US-Dollar, wobei durch eine Kommission entschieden wird, welche Projekte der Verbreitung mexikanischer Kultur besonders förderlich sind.
